Flat bottom, wide bow. Can be pointed on the front or straight.  Used for shallow water for its low draft.  Models up to 16’ available with 1/8” bottoms Models above 16’ only available with 3/16” bottoms.  Other terms used to describe a flat bottom boat; “Bateau” is a common term used in south Louisiana, while “Jon Boat” is a more popular term used in northern states.
